A boutique hotel in La Condesa, Mexico City, Casa Octavia, offers minimalist design, luxurious amenities, and a tranquil retreat amidst the city’s vibrant cultural scene.

Tucked away in the trendy La Condesa neighborhood of Mexico City, Casa Octavia is a serene boutique hotel that embodies modern elegance and thoughtful design. An extension of the renowned Mexican fashion brand OCTAVIA, this six-room retreat offers a seamless blend of minimalist architecture, understated luxury, and a deep connection to its surroundings.

A Design Boutique Hotel in the Heart of La Condesa

Casa Octavia was designed by architect Pablo Pérez Palacios and his firm PPAA, reflecting the aesthetic ethos of the OCTAVIA brand. The building’s exterior, adorned with teak lattice screens, strikes a balance between privacy and natural light. These screens filter sunlight, casting intricate patterns inside the spaces, while lush greenery softens the clean, geometric lines of the façade.

The interior is a celebration of natural materials and textures. Walls are finished in chukum, a stucco technique derived from the Yucatán Peninsula, which adds a warm, earthy texture. Neutral tones dominate, complemented by wooden furnishings, stone accents, and woven rattan details. Every element has been carefully curated to create a calm and inviting environment.

The hotel’s architecture also embraces the outdoors. A central patio, surrounded by tropical plants, acts as a tranquil focal point for guests to unwind. This interplay of indoor and outdoor spaces enhances the sense of harmony and escape.

Rooms: Tailored Comfort with Thoughtful Touches

With just six guest rooms, Casa Octavia offers an intimate and exclusive experience. Each room is uniquely named after natural materials, including Lino (linen), Bronce (bronze), Roca (rock), Yute (jute), Tierra (earth), and Nogal (walnut). These names reflect the earthy, elemental inspiration behind the hotel’s design.

The rooms are split between two areas: the front block, where wooden screens provide privacy and light diffusion, and the rear block, which overlooks the peaceful patio.

A Vibrant Location: The Charm of La Condesa

In terms of the location, Casa Octavia is located in La Condesa. Known for its vibrant cultural scene, leafy streets, and eclectic mix of restaurants, bars, and boutiques, it is one of Mexico City’s most coveted neighborhoods. Guests of Casa Octavia can explore this dynamic area on foot, discovering artisanal coffee shops, contemporary art galleries, and bustling parks like Parque México and Parque España.

A Stay Rooted in Simplicity and Elegance

Casa Octavia is more than just a boutique hotel—it’s an immersive experience that reflects the creativity and modernity of Mexico City. Every detail, from the architectural design to the soft furnishings, is imbued with the OCTAVIA brand’s minimalist philosophy. The result is a tranquil space that provides a refreshing contrast to the city’s bustling energy.

Whether you’re visiting for a romantic getaway or a creative recharge, Casa Octavia promises a memorable stay that captures the essence of contemporary Mexican design.
